THE SEASON IS OVER!

We had our party at the Perry Country Club on Wednesday!

Almost everyone was there. We had fun and nobody drowned so I guess that is always a good thing.

We ate lots and pizza and some of us got presents!

This is all the Krushers have for the 2008 season.

We will start over again in February. I hope everyone that played this year will sign up again next year. We had a great group of girls and I am so proud of all of them!

WE WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Its over!

All those months of practices and running and more practices and its all over!

All those practices payed off though because our girls won FIRST PLACE!

We played Friday night and it didn't matter of we won or not in the standings but it mattered to us! Coach Rob let some of the girls coach the bases. He was testing them to see how much they had learned.

I guess we can rest and start all over again next year!

Our pool party is June 18th and I will add more pictures then.

No, the girls aren't under arrest! Coach Brian was supposed to be working!

TUESDAY

Mondays game was canceled due to rain!

Tuesday we played the Darlins. That is the team that beat us the first time they played us this year! Luckily we have managed to pull it out every time since then. We shouldn't have lost that game but we did and in all fairness we have won several since that we shouldn't have!

We Won! It was close and the scored stayed 2-2 it seemed like forever! Final score 4-2!

Their pitcher balked and that advanced a runner who scored! (She started her wind up and then stopped). She had just been warned on it one time.

We got a few hits but mostly everything stayed in the infield. The other team hit a few to the outfield but our girls did really good keeping them to one base!

Grayce pitched I tried to not watch!

Tonight we are playing the make up game from Monday. The Rustlers! They play the Darlins at 6:00 and then us at 7:30! Hopefully they will be really tired and we can wear them out! It would be great to finish the season with a win!

Don't forgot Friday at the Perry Country Club pool @ 6:00. We will be there earlier if you want to get there about 5:30!

Sunday

I just had to let you know this!

We, the children and I, went to Eagle Springs swimming today. It was graduation party. Guess who was there!

You got it! Coach Short! He was there for his little boys team party so the Rustlers team wasn't there!

His little girl and a friend swam by Grayce and the little girl told her friend, she's a Krusher! I waved at him one time and then he walked by me I said hey coach, whats up! He said not much and kept walking.

The whole time I was saying, Lord please don't let him start in on ball with me!

I thought it was funny considering what has been happening! Coach Rob said I should have asked him was he ready for Monday!

It was HOT, TODAY!

We were hot in more ways than one!

It was hot outside today and our players were hot!

Their bats finally got heated up! I think every girl that got up to bat in the first inning was able to get a hit!

Coach Robert started everyone off with a Mountain Dew and chocolate so we are going to try that again on Monday!

We batted everybody each inning! (as many as were were allowed).

I had to work the dugout so I didn't get any new pictures today, sorry!

We won again, 4-11! It sure makes the girls feel good to win! It also makes it easier to go to the ball field when your winning!

We just have two more games left and then everything we have worked so hard for is over!

Don't worry I will call everyone from the beach!

Oh, I moved the coaches up to the top of the page since we are doing good. If we lose they have to go to the bottom and get throw in the pool. Well actually lets not lose to be able to throw them in the pool, I will take great pride in helping the girls push them in!

He did it Again

That crazy coach of the Rustlers tried to move his game to 8:00.

The Darlins showed up at 6:00, the scheduled time and they weren't there. So Michelle had someone sign off on the book saying it was a forfeit.

He came at 8:00 and the Darlins weren't there so he tried to have someone fix it so it was a forfeit in his favor.

Michelle (Fowler) was too smart for that. She says tomorrow at our game she is having a come to Jesus meeting with Andy, Kelly, Rob and her. Then next Monday when we play the Rustlers she is going to have a come to Jesus meeting with him!

Just in case your wondering that was the cliff notes version of the drama from last night! How I got in the middle of it is beyond me!

Thursday Evening

Just in case your wondering, we went to the field tonight.

The Darlins had a game against the Rustlers. It was supposed to be played at 6:00. It got postponed until 6:30. They allowed them 15 minutes for the rest of the team to show.

No one showed up at all.

The Darlins took the field and won by forfeit!

The Darlins then had practice and I told them they needed to practice more than 45 minutes, I pray I don't regret that remark!

When we were talking in the parking lot, Short pulled up and we all got in the car a drove away. Michelle Fowler was afraid she would say something really ugly! Plus I would have had to defend our honor!

The other thing is I went into the shed where the score book is kept. They had written forfeit real big on the page where we would have played on Tuesday and highlighted it! I marked thru it and put game cancelled per Andy Drawhorn!

If you need a wake up call for Saturday, please call me Friday night! Now go get some rest!

Thursday

At practice last night I was asked more than once did we forfeit our game that was supposed to be played on Monday?

No we did not. I told you a little about it on yesterdays post but I will give you more details.

Coach Short from the Rustlers ask up to postpone our game Monday until Wednesday. We told him no, we had children that go to church, but we could do it Tuesday or Thursday. He has a game with the Darlins on Thursday so he needed to play it on Tuesday.

That was fine. I called everyone and told them we would play Tuesday at 6:00. Except Leigh Annes mom, I think I told her 7:00. Anyway Tuesday morning the Darlins coach called me and told me she had gotten an email from him. What time were we playing. In the meantime I called Andy, the girls director, to see what time we were playing. He said we weren't playing. Coach Short hadn't called him to schedule umpires and they had to be scheduled thru him because the umps are in a contract. So I call Rob and Michelle and tell them we aren't playing. Now I call everyone and say we are not playing. While all this is happening Rob calls Andy again and ask him will it be a forfeit and Andy says absolutely not.

Then Coach Short finally called Rob at about 4:30 and says we can play. Rob calls me and I said NO! I cannot call everyone and tell them to be at the ball field in an hour because he can't get his act together. (Those weren't the exact words I used but you get the idea).

So then my family and some friends are having dinner at the mexican restuarant and Michelle Fowler calls and says the Rustlers showed up with umpires, went onto the field and they called the game a forfeit. You lost!

I immediately called Rob on his cell phone and can't get him. I call him on the house phone and leave a message. He calls me back and since I am in Perry already I went straight to the ball field, found Andy and said what is going on. He didn't know anything about it. He didn't schedule the umps so no it was not a loss and we did not forfeit!

Our record is still whatever we won and only one loss! Let that sneaky man think he won a game if he wants to. It doesn't matter at this point. Plus it is pretty sad to think they can only win if we don't show up!

The other funny thing, to me is, James Brian also plays against his sons team who is also sponsored by Wayne Morris Ford. I bet he never buys a car from us!

Can you believe someone told me I didn't have a life! (You know who you are!)

Tuesday Game Cancelled

The coach of the Rustlers can't get it going!

He changed the game on Monday to Tuesday because he didn't have enough players. Then he didn't get organized and get in touch with someone in charge at the field to get the umps scheduled.

After I called everyone and changed the date, he called Robert at 4:00 and said we could play at 7:00 and Robert said I don't think so.

If you want all the details from this mornings conversations I will be glad to share it with you tomorrow at practice! Believe me, you don't want to hear it!

Oh, We Have Fun When We Win!

Well, it all came down to who was the grouchest last night.

Unfortunatly, we can't play ball for picking each other apart. Actually it wasn't us and never is but we played grouchy gus last night and he just looks for a reason to me mean! If he would ease up his team might win sometime. The coach makes everyone miserable!

We had two outs and the Rustlers player stepped into the batters box with her shirt untucked. The ump called her out! (The umpires told them just before the game they had to have there shirts tucked in). The girls daddy was real grouchy and took her off the field. She could have just went and tucked her shirt in.

Then Julia hit a double and stepped on the bag. I saw it but the other side said she didn't and we decided not to argue and that was an out.

Then they called MacKenzie for not having her team issued socks on. The funny thing was she could go into the dugout and put them on, which she was doing but Coach Rob said never mind call her out! (I am not sure who was proving what at that point).

Then the Rustlers short stop got nailed in the face with a ball. Her mother is one of the grouchest but we still didn't won't her to get hurt. We tried to be nice to them.

Now the score is about 10-0. Our favor. So our coach swapped the some players around. Infield to outfield and vica versa!

Now we have two outs and the girl who didn't have her shirt tucked in was due to bat. Since she left the game it was an automatic out!

So, we Won!

We play them again on Monday and it is terrible to dread it. The way that act only makes our girls want to win all the more.

Rachel and Hannah both got out of the "slump" they had been in and got on base!

We Played the Best Game of The Year Today!

Our Girls Played a Great Game!

We probably played the best we have all year. Even the umpire said to our coach "Could you have played a better game?"

We won 4-2. The game moved along so fast we played five innings.

I didn't take a note pad and I might as well forget trying to keep up because it just isn't going to happen.

The big play was we had a couple on base and Britany got a triple and brought in a couple of runs.

I was doing good with the camera and we were all having fun until the battery went dead but I will charge it for tomorrow.

Tuesday Practice

Nothing exciting to report.

We only had practice. Everyone showed up! That is the first time all season that every girl has made it to the same practice!

Ball game tonight at 6:00!

We played a great game. Very few errors! We won, I forgot the score, but it doesn't really matter, we won!

We were home so the Darlin's got first bat! We didn't let them score at all!

When it was our time to bat Julie started the inning off with a hit, Hannah got a hit, Grayce advanced a runner, Leigh Anne smacked the ball and our first time player this year, Britany hit the ball to the outfield which was good for a double!

I remembered a few pictures but I will keep trying until I get everyone!

We have practice on Wednesday but don't play again until Thursday and Friday. Hopefully we won't forget what we've learned so far!

Practice-Wednesday 5/14

We just did some batting around.

Coach Rob pitched a little faster. We play the Darlings tonight and thier pitcher is faster so we are trying to be prepared. Both Brians had to work so Leigh Annes dad "Coach" Mike helped out. Thanks Mike!

Game tonight at 6:00. Our friends are on this team but it is all business during the game. Then afterwards we will stand around and talk and discuss what each team did wrong.

We haven't beaten this team really bad so we need to tonight.

We will play in the rain unless it is lighting. I will make calls as soon as I hear from the directors. So be there and ready to go at 5:30.

We Win, Again!

I don't know if we are that good are if they are just not that good!

We won our game 17-4 so we looked really good! I forgot the camera, again so I will try another night this week.

MacKenzie pitched and did a great job and the only person I remember really smaking the ball was Hannah. We did get some hits, mostly infield. I keep saying I am going to take a note pad and make notes! Oh, I remember Katie getting a hit also.

I never can figure out how the score gets so high. We get a hit or two, the pitcher walks 3 or 4 which loads up the bases and then we get to hit off our coach and it is down hill from there! Coach Rob and Coach Brian get antsy and just keep sending the runners which makes the girls throw the ball around and we just keep running! (i know it doesn't take 7 to get a run in but you get the picture!).

We didn't have any arguments last night and that was the fussing team but the umpires are going to start tossing parents for running thier mouth. We don't yell at others peoples children we only yell at our own! So hopefully we will be in good shape!

WEDNESDAY!

Long week. Too many practices and games all in a row!

When we arrived at the field the Odo ban team was already there. Coach Robert fixed it real quick and real nice! (we have had the field reserved for two weeks). Those people are just plain grouchy!

We only had practice tonight. The girls hit really good and maybe learned something new!

It was little warm so we all might be in trouble in a week or so when it gets really hot.

Next game is Monday at 7:00.

WE ARE READY TO RUMBLE!

WE WIN THE FIRST HALF!

What does that mean? I don't really know. I do know the season is divided up into two halves and we have won the first half. We have only lost one game so far.

Nicole, Hallies mom, decided last night that we only play as good as the other teams needs us to play. We should have gone out and kicked fanny but two games in a row we coast along until the very end. Last night we had a hill to climb. We were about 6 runs behind.

We had a better night as far as the parents go. There wasn't all the fussing and carrying on.

I had promised to take better notes but I forgot again. Grayce pitched and did a good job I could give you G's stats all day but I don't guess anybody cares about one child! I think we had a lot of girls walk and I don't remember any great hits but that is okay because hopefully for next weeks game we will be rested and can get our bats going.

I took the camera with a charged battery and still didn't get all the pictures. I will be better tonight at practice. Hopefully I won't get trampled!

Next game is May 12th!

WE WIN! 8-9

We played the team that hasn't one a game all year and they almost beat us!

Apparently our girls felt is was safe to sleep the first inning. So after our little nap we came back to win.

The truth is the coaches on the other team were complaining so much that it had everyone out of whack!

We actually scored a run we didn't even get credit for even though Pam, who was keeping the book told the umpire. Needless to say it was a long night!

MacKenzie pitched and did a good job. I promised to keep better stats but I got excited and forgot! I know there were alot of walks by our team. The other team had the bases loaded and a girl was out of the dugout without a helmet and got called out. That was the big save of the night.

The battery was dead in the camera so after I took it I couldn't take pictures.

We have another game tonight so maybe I will take a note pad!

FRIDAY NIGHT GAME!

We haven't had very many Friday night games.

Our problems started when we only had eight players to begin with. MacKenzie our short stop and part time pitcher was in a school play. I don't know what happened to the other two girls but they were not there. Actually it started off bad when my child had to pee when we had only been at the field 15 minutes.

Tonight was nerve racking! Grayce who is my daughter had to pitch the entire game. It makes me crazy. She always does good but tonight I personally thought she was a little off. In all fairness the umpire tonight was a little ruff on the girls but I think he did call equal for both teams.

Then we made a few errors in the field. Then we had a girl get called out at 3rd when she didn't have to run.

I would have left early but I always stay when they are winning so I felt guilty leaving when they were losing!

Finally we got it together in the 3rd inning and were able to pull it thru. All the girls were getting good hits. We did have a couple of players robbed on a few. You know the ones that are fly balls and it surprises the player when she actually made the catch. That happened more than once!

It is all about having fun and I think they girls did.

We play again on Monday and Tuesday. We will see what happens. I will keep better stats next time.
